caféWilliam

We are still the new kids on the block and we are here thanks to Shirley at GM Fitted Furniture Limited. Twelve months on and there have been many storms so we've had to learn to dance in the rain. We genuinely care about our food and our service to you but there is still much more we would like to do both in the kitchen and in the dining room.

For me, caféWilliam will always be about the pleasure in creating and presenting good food, for friends to enjoy in each others company. We still have some modest plans that will hopefully roll out eventually, including Cook with the Cook and Little Chefs, food and drink tastings and a monthly fine dining experience. We kicked off with a Valentines Night supper, which included live music and that worked. So, Friday night may become (live) music night.

 

Our evening sessions on Fridays and Saturdays, includes food offerings until 8.30pm; the Bar Grabbers (a sort of tapas) and Supper Bowls menus have some or your old favourites together with new (sometimes experimental) offerings. I love the evening sessions, the atmosphere is chilled and we get to play around in the kitchen, serve you supper and chat.

I've done my best to create a stylish and elegant space for us to relax in and it's fascinating  to see caféWilliam evolve, still continuing to find its own identity, Are we a café, bistro, brasserie? I think we might be a little bit of each, depending on when you come and what's on your menu.

 

I am a self-confessed perfectionist, so when things go wrong nobody hurts more than I do. Creating caféWilliam has been an acheivement that I am quietly proud of, but running this business is the hardest work that I have ever done. Nothing is taken for granted and I thank you (our customers) and my staff, for your support, patience and good wishes. W
